Inspection, besides illegal transporters, controlled also technical soundness of buses, quality of the fuel they use and payment of provisions for workers.
The greatest number of cases of illegal transportation of passengers, mostly by vans and taxis, we discovered in the area of Travnik, Novi Travnik, Vitez, Fojnica and Una-Sana and Livno cantons. Violations are very hard to prove, because both drivers and passengers negate that transportation is being paid – said Dragan Soldo, head traffic inspector.
He points out that they established that numerous controlled vehicles have certificates on technical soundness, although at first sight it is clear that they are not sound. Such vehicles were sent to extraordinary technical examination.
