In the continuation of the second part of the sixth meeting of the Special Group for Public Administration Reform between the EU and BiH, which was held today in a hybrid format, it was discussed on the implementation of the Strategy and Action Plan for Public Administration Reform in BiH, civil service and human resources management at the technical level and on the principle of responsibility as well.

The technical level dialogue on public administration reform was chaired on behalf of BiH by Dragan Ćuzulan, coordinator for public administration reform, and on behalf of the EU was co-chaired by Nisida Gjoksi from the European Commission.

The Commission pointed out that it is necessary to urgently revise the PAR Action Plan for the period 2023-2027 and to ensure regular annual monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Strategic Framework, as well as to hold a meeting of the political body that will guide the public administration reform by the end of the summer.

The BiH delegation informed the Commission about the establishment of the Legal Information System, which is the first IT tool for harmonizing legislation with the acquis in BiH and which is planned to be in use by the end of the year, and informed also about the activities undertaken to develop the Integration Program, which is a requirement from 14 key priorities.

Also, the BiH delegation informed the Commission that the Draft Law on Freedom of Access to Information at the Institutional Level of BiH had been determined and submitted to the parliamentary procedure.

We remind you that earlier today, as part of the sixth meeting of the Special Group for Public Administration Reform between the EU and Bosnia and Herzegovina, a dialogue was held at the political level, which was chaired by Davor Bunoza, Minister of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The sixth meeting of the Special Group for Public Administration Reform is the first meeting of this body after BiH received candidate status, and the third at which public administration reform is discussed on a political and technical level.
