Sabahudin Suljević, expert advisor for information technology and service delivery in PARCO participated from May 25 to 27, 2023 in the 31st NISPA conference held in Belgrade.

NISPA represents the network of institutes and schools for public administration in central and eastern Europe.

Numerous scientific and professional papers and researches were presented at the conference. The central theme of the conference was “the future of public administration in new technologies”.

In the organization of RESPA, two panels were held “Building and strengthening the resilience of the public administration sector through strategic forecasts and innovations”, where Suljević spoke about the experiences within Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the building of capacities for strategic forecasting and assessment of digitalization trends, their applicability in our context, and the development of interoperability in BiH as a key concept for the quality effects of digitization.

Also, RESPA organized a workshop on the topic “Digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) in public administration” where current initiatives within the EU, experiences of countries in the region regarding strategies and concrete projects that have been implemented were presented.

The general conclusion is that an adequate regulatory framework is needed at the EU level and that artificial intelligence is a key factor for digital transformation today.
