Within the project “Training of Employees who execute the jobs of civil administration for application of information technologies and work on computers” a total of 829 employees in the bodies of civil service / administration, including the units of local self governance, was tested for work with the Windows operation system, of which 97% passed the test.
The testing took place after attending the first module of the total of 4 modules of training for work with the operation system and files management, within the ECDL training programme organised by the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office, and implemented by the Net‐pro and Eksa, as accredited centres for ECDL training in BiH.
The implementation of the project included the Civil Service Agency of BiH, the Civil Service Agency of the FBiH, the Civil Administration Agency of the RS and Sub-Department for Human Resources of the Government of the Brčko District of BiH. The representative of the training implementer, Zlatan Mulabegović, director of the Net‐pro d.o.o., deems that the achieved level of candidate successfulness in the final testing for work on Windows operation system was high, considering that testing is being implemented in accordance with the European standardised programme of verification of the level of IT skills for work with the operation system, and that these trainings achieve a significant influence on strengthening IT literacy in public administration.
This is the second phase of the ECDL training of the civil servants, initiated by the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office, which would be implemented in two cycles.
The first cycle of training, which started in April, will last until July 2016, while the second cycle of training would start in September 2016. A total of 1780 attendees will go through the programme of strengthening and certification of IT skills in accordance with the ECDL standard.
Of the aforementioned number of persons that would be trained, 380 civil servants / employees is from the level of the institutions of BiH, 600 civil servants / employees is from each of the entities, and 200 from the level of the Brčko District of BiH. Training is being implemented in 14 cities that are administrative centres in their regions.
