Nezavisne novine: By drafting the proposal of the immigration profile of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Security of BiH has fulfilled one more obligation from the “path map” for liberalization of visa regime of BiH, has been notified yesterday from this ministry.

According to this announcement, this document establishes some temporary mechanisms for monitoring of immigration flows in BiH.

"So, the institutions responsible for implementing the Law on moving and residing of foreigners and asylum in BiH will be collecting the data on countries of citizenship, countries of origin and the countries of previous residence of foreigners. The data on immigration, financial transfers from Diaspora, foreigners who have received the BiH citizenship, issued work permits for foreigners, and the data related to the voluntary return of BiH citizens in their homeland and foreigners from BiH", has been explained in the Ministry of Security of BiH. 851 persons in illegal crossing of the BiH border have been found in 2007, while 543 persons in last year, which represents the reduction of 36.19%.

The biggest number of permits for temporary residence of foreigners in the last year has been issued to the citizens of Serbia (1.298), then Montenegro (1.002), Croatia (631), China (569), Turkey (595), Macedonia (280), Germany (201), Austria (125) and the Russian Federation (108), while the smallest number of permits has been issued to the citizens of India (53), Romania (60) and Great Britain (72).  

The biggest number of declarations on banishing the foreigners has been issued to the citizens of Serbia, Turkey, Albania, Macedonia, China and Croatia.
