The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska has yesterday adopted the Law on Electronic Business of the RS, by which the rules related to concluding the agreements in electronic form are being regulated.

This law determines providing services of the information society and responsibility of service providers. By explaining this law to delegates, Minister of Science and Technology of the RS, Bakir Ajanović has said that a service of the information society is the one, that functions through the payment, in a electronic way (to the individual request of user), especially selling of commodities and services through the internet.

"Economic and social development of the RS, today and in future, is being based on development and application of information and communication technologies, which is becoming the basic starter of all economic, social, political and other processes and connecting of economic subjects", has been said by Ajanović.

By adopting the Law on Electronic Signature and the Law on Electronic Document, the RS has started the process of creating an ambient necessary for successful creation, functioning and development of the information society, Ajanović has said. He has added that this law is harmonized with directives of the European Community since June 8, 2000, reports portal biznis.ba.
