Dnevni list: The member of the High Tribunal and Prosecution Council of BiH, Slavica Čurić has yesterday said that at the courts of BiH there are more than 1.5 million of remained subjects related to uncontested claims of public companies from citizens of BiH.
She has explained that around 60% of those, "communal subjects" have been placed in the Municipal court in Sarajevo and has also added that several years will be needed for them to solve those, because in BiH currently work the total of 151 judges. Čurić has pointed out that public companies have "overwhelmed" the courts by a huge number of subjects, which are coming quite often, mostly at the end of the year, when they sum up the results of their own business.
According to her, yesterday’s conference "How to advance the executive procedure in BiH?" has been organized with the goal to hear the experiences and ideas of countries in region, in order to advance the executive procedure in BiH. "In Croatia, such subjects are being solved by the public notaries, and other countries have also tried it by introducing the institution of private executors", Čurić has said.
