Dnevni avaz: The candidacy of BiH for a non-permanent member of the Security Council of the UN has by now been supported by 67 countries, and by the end of this month written support is expected from 11 countries more, has been stated in information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, which has yesterday been adopted by the Council of Ministers of BiH.
BiH has remained the only candidate to be a non-permanent member in the UN in a period from 2010. to 2011. before the East-European group of countries, after Poland, which was the only rival, has withdrawn itself from the efforts in September last year.
The final decision will be adopted at the session of the General Assembly of the UN in October this year. In order for our country to be chosen, it needs two thirds of votes out of total 192 countries members.
