Nezavisne novine: Through the strategy of development of health care by 2012. has been planned the introduction of electronic booklets and electronic cards, has been confirmed in the Health Insurance Fund of the RS.
"Effects of the introduction of electronic booklets, besides others, are related to a higher and simpler availability of rights from health care insurance, as are the verifications of status of insurance in health care institution itself and in any time", has been said in the Fund.
They also say that this way more information on health condition of insurers will be available, as are electronic input on immunization, allergies, approved aids and similar.
Dušica Stanković, spokesperson of the Health Center Banja Luka, has said that in the ambulances which have computers some data on patients is already being entered in electronic system.
"Those are the ambulances of family medicine on Starčevica, Petrićevac, ambulance in Platon street, Poly-clinic and some bigger ambulances of family medicine", has been said by Stanković.
She has added that the other ambulances will transfer to this system of keeping the data once they get computers.
"It is a big thing to transfer all data of patients into an electronic system, because some patients have a broad history of sickness", Stanković has said.
From the Fund they have said that building of an information system is a very important component in the reform of health care sector.
Namely, they have said that the Ministry of Health Care and Social Protection of the RS has initiated the project of building the unified information system in health care, whose realization is in the process.
"Benefit from that project is multiple: contribution to health care protection, full information connectivity of all the subjects in health care system, more efficient control and coordination of expenditures in health care", has been said in the Fund.
They have added that they also invest in building their own information system.
"Realization of project which will ensure a more efficient coordination of all expenditures and improve the efficiency of coordinating of all business processes", has been said in the Fund.
