Nezavisne novine: The officials of the state and entity parliaments have asked the governments to immediately create the action plans for fight against the economic crisis and implementation of priorities for membership in the EU.

The officials of the Parliament of BiH, the National Assembly of the RS and the Parliament of the FBiH have addressed this request after yesterday's meeting on Jahorina.

Without Europe in internal rules

Igor Radojičić has said that, in respect to the fact that the conversations on corrections of the internal rules still last in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of BiH, it has been proposed to also include the representatives of entity parliaments in the part which edits the procedures for a quickened adoption of the European legislation. "According to the internal rules, we currently do not have a graduated European legislation", Radojičić has said by adding that the next meeting of parliamentarians from BiH will be held before the summer vacations.

"We are an unique economic space and therefore the measures for moderating the consequences of global economic crisis, which is being more visible in BiH with every new day, must be consistent in the whole country. The Council of Ministers and the entity governments should make a joint packet of measures as an answer to economic crisis. Measures should be adopted and applicable as soon as possible", has been said by Igor Radojičić, chairman of the National Assembly of the RS, who was a host of yesterday's regular meeting of parliamentarians in BiH.

Beriz Belkić, chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of BiH, has pointed out that the most important message of this meeting is that everyone in BiH is aware of the problems in which this country is, but the only solution is in conversation and agreement on all the problems.

"We have asked the executive authorities to make the action plans for implementation of conditions for progress towards the EU. The Council of Ministers of BiH has adopted the action plans for implementation of the priorities from the European Partnership and the Stabilization and Association Agreement, but those plans have not been introduced to the parliaments, or other institutions in country. It is known that each of the levels of government has its obligations in fulfilling the conditions for progress towards the EU", Belkić has said.

Chiefs of the state and entity parliaments have agreed to organize a special session dedicated to the European Integrations, and its host will be the House of Representatives of the Parliament of BiH.

At the meeting it has also been agreed forming the joint parliamentary groups, which will be working on applying for financial assistance of the EU and a permanent coordination between the parliamentary commissions.

"We all agree that the condition in which we currently are is very upsetting. That is why we have to offer an agreement as the answer and concrete actions on solving the problems which make the political and economic situation in country very hard", has been said by Safet Softić, chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the FBiH.

Belkić has also confirmed that the parliaments of BiH, the RS and the FBiH will soon hold a joint session dedicated to constitutional changes in BiH.

"We are aware of the importance of this question and we want everyone to participate in that process. I think we should include the academic community, civil sector, political parties, but the role of the parliament is exceptionally important, because at the end we will all vote for changes of the Constitution", Belkić has said.

The representatives of entity parliaments have supported conversations on constitutional changes in institutions, and have stated that they will soon talk about the models of cooperation for harmonization of entity laws.
