Nezavisne novine: Persons from BiH who receive a social assistance, unemployed and children without parental custody, will have a free legal assistance in civil procedures.

This has been stipulated by the Draft Law on Free Legal Assistance, which has yesterday been confirmed by the Council of Ministers of BiH.

"Providing of legal assistance will be also ensured in the crime procedure in a part in which the right on defense comes out of the Law on Criminal Procedure because of the weak property condition of the suspect or charged", has been notified from the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The Council has also adopted the report of the Working group for confirming of the state property outside the territory of BiH. It has been stated in report that the state BiH (out of the diplomatic-consular property) possesses the appropriate real estates – embassies in London, Vienna, Canberra, Stuttgart, Oman and Zagreb, in which is also a Cultural center. It has also been stated that BiH has an apartment in Stuttgart, in which are the General consulate and building land in Ankara, on which the DCR of BiH is currently in the process of building.

"BiH possesses a significant number of real estates in Croatia, among which are the objects, apartments and land in Dubrovnik, Trpanj, Omiš, Makarska and in Zagreb. From the governments in Serbia and Croatia the data on several real estates which have been evidenced as an ownership of former SR BiH, has been asked", has been stated in notification.

The Council of Ministers of BiH has adopted the changes of the Law on Civil Service, by which the procedures of employment and selection of qualified staff have been shortened, and the selection of them improved, planning of human resources, grades of work and coordination of the results.

The Proposal of the State Strategy of Monitoring over opiate drugs, preventing and suppression of misuse of the opiate drugs for a period from 2009 to 2013, has been confirmed as well, and the Commission for suppression of misuses of drugs, has been established.

"The goals of this strategy encompass the increase of awareness through educating the communities, prevention measures which will be implemented in different areas of health care, social protection, education and jurisdiction, and also the system of informing, and suppressing and preventing of further expansion of misuse of opiate drugs, improving the legislative and its application", has been notified from the Council of Ministers.
