Nezavisne novine: The Council of Ministers of BiH will once per month deliberate on the progress from the document of the European Partnership, and each three months, the entity prime ministers will participate in those deliberations.

This has been said yesterday by Osman Topčagić, director of the Directorate for European Integrations of BiH, by commenting the newest report on progress of our country towards the EU.

"At the session on Thursday, the Council of Ministers has been introduced to the obligations from the European Partnership. We have also passed through 25 problematic questions, and it has been concluded that all problems should be solved by compromise and agreement. At the session, there was a detailed discussion on the questions from the EP", Topčagić said.

Progress has been absent in the economic sector as well

The progress, according to the grade of the EC, has also been absent in economic sector, where by praising the macro-economic stability of the country it has been stated that BiH does not even succeed to ensure the common standards of verification of products. The European Commission has reminded that the local governments have not adopted the Law on banking supervision, obligation relations, strategies for small and middle companies, agriculture and industrial development, "even though the country has the ambition to be a part of a common trade of the EU".

In the newest annual report on progress of BiH towards the EU, which has been sent by the European Commission to the governments of our country on Wednesday, corruption has been stated as a widespread and serious problem, especially in the authorities of the Government of BiH.

"BiH has made a very small progress in improving the instruments for combating against corruption, which is very widespread and remains a big problem, especially in the authorities of the Government of BiH. BiH needs the improvement of the anti-corruption laws and more investigations on corruption", has been stated in this annual report.

With corruption, a "mild" combat against the organized crime has also been pointed out as a significant problem, which the governments of BiH are not solving. The European Commission has graded that a limited progress in this area, has been made, but there is still a problem of not adopting the changes of the penal laws, which would ensure more efficient processing the cases of the organized crime.

"Certain progress has been made in a reform of police, but the problem of choppiness of the police structure has not yet been solved.  Cooperation and exchange of data between the agencies for implementation of the law, is still weak. New laws on police have not ensured the coordination role in relation to the entity, cantonal and police of the District Brčko to the newly established state police authorities", has been written in the report.
