Dnevni list: The civil servants and employees in the institutions of BiH today are going on strike, because it did not come to the agreement of the Union of the Civil Servants and Employees in the Institutions of BiH and the representatives of the Council of Ministers. The presiding of the Union of Civil Servants, Neđo Đurđić has in the statement confirmed that in accordance with the international conventions, in creation of the Law on Salaries and other acts related to the rights of employees, the employer is obligated to include the presidents of that union.

Team of the Council of Ministers

According to the president of the Union of Civil Servants, Neđo Đurđić, in the team of the Council of Ministers which has received the task to start negotiations with the Union, are the Minister of Security of BiH, Tarik Sadović, Minister of Justice of BiH, Bariša Čolak and Minister of Finance and Treasury, Dragan Vrankić. Mentioned team should have started negotiations with the Union about the conditions which the Union has set, but it did not happen yet.

It has not come to negotiation

When speaking of strike, unofficial information by which the Union currently disposes, is that after the October 23rd when the strike has been announced, the Council of Ministers has had a session and the team for negotiations with the Union has been formed. However, from the Council of Ministers of BiH on forming the team for negotiations, the Union has not officially received any information. Đurđić says that the civil servants demand an equal treatment, protection of the subsistence minimum, adopting the bylaw acts, protection of rights on giving birth and motherhood and bringing and signing the collective contracts. According to him, without the beginning of negotiations on the mentioned conditions, employees will not stop the strike.

It is being waited on beginning of negotiations

“The employer has by refusing the dialog, forced the Union to enter the strike, and by this, the employer has unilaterally accepted responsibility of negative consequences of strike”, has been said by Đurđić. He added that the Union, because of the seriousness of moment and responsibility before the future events, in accordance with this Law, will cancel the strike the same moment when the employer comes to the agreement with that Union the way it has been set by the Law”, Đurđić has explained.
