Nezavisne novine: The chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Nikola Špirić has yesterday convoked the constitutional session of the Management Board for Coordination of the Pre-Accession Assistance of the EU (IPA), on which the State Minister for Finance Dragan Vrankić has been nominated for the chairman of this board, has been announced from the Council of Ministers.

“The board will suggest to the Council of Ministers that Vrankić needs to be nominated into the state coordinator for the instrument of the pre-accession assistance (IPA) as well”, has been announced from the Council of Ministries.

Several months ago, the Council of Ministers has adopted the strategy on decentralized coordinating the pre-accession assistance. By the adopted strategy, the establishment of a special administrative board consisting of representatives of the state and entity governments has been adopted. The board will coordinate the division of about 440 million Euros of non refundable aid which will be given to BiH from 2007 to 2011 by the EU. The European Commission has later denied, asking BiH to nominate the national coordinator, but not the administrative board.
