Nezavisne novine: SARAJEVO – The Memorandum of understanding, according to which in the next year two advisors from both the OHR and the OSCE will work with the CEC of BiH, who will provide the logistical support and give expert advice to the members of the CEC and the Secretariat, was signed yesterday in Sarajevo.

The Memorandum of understanding was signed by the president of the CEC of BiH, Suad Arnautović, the High Representative of the international community, Miroslav Lajčak, and the Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Douglas Davidson.

“In all future joint activities and processes of decision making, the members of the CEC of BiH shall maintain their full independence”, said Arnautović.

Lajčak pointed out that the Memorandum is more than a protocol event, that it signifies even fuller cooperation of the CEC with the international community, concretely with the OHR and the OSCE.
