Dnevni avaz: Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finances of the FBiH, Vjekoslav Bevanda, with an agreement by the Government, undertook the measures for protection of the budget, as “Dnevni avaz” found out.

In order not to make debts, it has been ordered to stop all the payments from the budget which are of no priority for the next 30 days, and other payments are to be made only in accordance with the priorities from the Law on Execution of the Budget.

That means that the priority for payment, probably by the end of the month, will be payment of the foreign debt, transfers for disability provisions and veteran provisions, for agriculture and for refugees and displaced persons.

The reason for this radical move are irrational behaviour of the part of the budget users, who have spent as early as January more than budget approved, but there is also a problem with an income of money from the unique account of the Indirect Taxation Authority.

After the Indirect Taxation Authority has been given an order to execute a VAT return to all the companies which are entitled to it, the account literally emptied.

''When the order has been given that all the money from the VAT has to be returned, great problems ensued because of which in the budget of the FBiH for 20 days not a single mark has been paid. I expect that something like that will never happen again'' Bevanda pointed out.
