Nezavisne novine: SARAJEVO – The Commission for finances and budget of the House of Representatives of the BH parliament gave yesterday positive opinion on the budget of the state institutions and international obligations of BiH for this year, ammounting 1.186 billion KM. Sadik Bahtić, chairman of this Commission, said that he expects the budget and its yesterday agreed division to be adopted on Wednesday by the House of Representatives of the BiH parliament.

“This is third version of the budget. On today’s session we also supported the amendment, according to which the total salaries are decreased as well as remunerations of all the budget users so we could direct that money to the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH. That will provide around 25 million KM for return of refugees and displaced”, said Bahtić.

He added that the adopted amendments contain all the requests of the Council of Ministers of BiH with whom the members of the Commission for finances and budget met the day before.

Adoption of the budget of the institutions and international obligations of BiH late because the Presidency originally did not adopt the version of the Council of Ministers of BiH of 1.18 billion KM. State ministers stood with their version of the budged, so the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH  Željko Komšić proposed the budget larger than 1.2 billion KM, which was not adopted by the representatives of the RS.

Compromise was offered yesterday by the representatives of the SDA in the state parliament, by proposing to adopt the budget originally proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, and that the internal division provide more money for certain points and categories, such as returnees.
