Nezavisne novine: SARAJEVO – House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament should next week adopt the budget amounting around 1.186 billion KM, was confirmed yesterday by the representatives of the largest parliamentary parties.
“On Wednesday, we adopted the budget in first reading, as well as the conclusion that its final version shall not exceed the amount of around 1.186 billion KM. I believe that in this amount there is enough room to ensure the assets for return, and by that meet the part of demands by the Presidency of BiH, and in the end, have a budget which will be supported by all the parties of the parliamentary majority", said Bajazit Jašarević, the representative of the SDA.
Parliamentary Commission for finances and budget will tomorrow, with the representatives of the state ministries in charge try to harmonize the division of the budget incomes.
“I think that in the points of gross salaries and remunerations and material expenditures there are enough reserves to ensure 30 or 40 million KM for return. That is one of the demands of the Presidency of BiH. We will discuss their other demand for provisions for agriculture, science and technology as well”, Jašarević pointed out.
The Party for BiH denied their support to the budget in the first reading. Beriz Belkić, the deputy chairman of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament and the representative of this party, said that provision of money for return is a condition for support to the budget.
“We will support the adoption of the budget if the money for return is provided. That is the principle from which we will not give up. On the amount, we are ready to talk”, said Belkić. Velimir Jukić, the chairman of the HDZ Caucus, announced that the representatives of this party will support the budget in the second reading as well.
“There is a realistic basis that the budget will be adopted next week. That is in the interest of all of us, because we cannot allow the state institutions to be financed on the basis of the last year’s budget. That would stop their development”, said Jukić.
