On the website of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator's Office in BiH there has been placed an application called "Interactive map of administration", which informs the internet users on which institutions and in what way they provide the service to the citizens and business community.
The map contains the information on type and procedure of achieving the services of public administration, and on the authorized institutions, classified in 8 categories on the level of the entities and the Brčko District of BiH, and in three categories at the level of BiH. Around 250 websites of the institutions in BiH have been integrated in the map content, by which, besides connecting to the information source, promotion of the administrative institutions is being done.
The information has been collected from the official sources. For example, the map contains the information on issuing the personal documents, rights from the work and pension relation, social and health care protection, and protection of consumers and similar. There is also information on visa regime, CEMT licenses for transporters, aero lines, investments in BiH, and macro-economic indicators and general information on four administrative levels in BiH.
The project of interactive map has been realized by financial support of the Department for International Development of the Great Britain Government, while the program application has been created by Prime Communications, and the whole content is available in Cyrillic and Latin script and English language. Majority of web links in the map content on English provides the information on official languages in BiH, because the big number of institutions on the websites does not have the content in English. Also, for the information on websites integrated in the text of map, responsible are the institutions on whose websites it is about.
The Public Administration Reform Coordinator's Office will update the data in the content of map four times per year. All institutions, especially the citizens, are welcome to contribute to the improvement of quality of map by their suggestions.
Interactive map is a pioneer contribution to consolidation of information on services of public administration at one place and the project which will be improved by the PARCO.
Implementation of this project was aggravated by the fact that the way of achieving particular service is different not only between the administrative levels (state, entities and District), but also inside one administrative level.
