The complexity of process of the internal audits, different methodologies which are being used by the internal controls, and the risks which show up in financial public sector of the IT system, were the topics of the seminar which has been held on December 8 and 9 this year in Warsaw, in the organization of the European Institute for public administration.   

For the representatives of the public and private sector from the countries of the EU, and the countries candidates, the seminar was a chance to exchange experiences and expand their knowledge from the area of accountancy, finances and information technologies.  

Special attention has been dedicated to the COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of Treadway Commission) concept, which is being applied in Poland during the internal audits, and the key risks, which are showing up in the process of the audit of the public finance sector by the IT systems, or flexibility of the IT system to executing of the financial function.

Participants of the seminar were the representatives of the ministries of finance of Bulgaria and Slovakia, the ministries of foreign affairs of Belgium, the ministries of finance and tax department of the Czech Republic, the Accountancy bureau of the Government of Cyprus, the Commission for Capital Market of Greece, the Service for financial investigation of the Government of Lithuania…The representative of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office was also present at the seminar.
