Today, the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office, with the technical support of the EU4PAR project, organized a workshop for civil society representatives on revising the Action plan for Public Administration Reform 2018-2027.

The coordinator for public administration reform in BiH, Darko Kasap, opened the workshop by saying that the revision of the Action Plan is one of the key requirements from last year’s enlargement package and one of the recommendations resulting from the dialogue between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Commission, within the body for stabilization and association – Special Groups for the reform of public administration.

“The revision process was also supported by the political body for public administration reform – the Coordination Committee, which consists of the chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the prime minister of the entity governments and the mayor of the Brčko district of BiH, together with relevant ministers.

Kasap added that “our guiding principle remains the Principles of Public Administration prepared by SIGMA and in which we can find a model of what the future public administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina should look like.”

The CCI said that attention should be paid to audit reports that cover various areas, especially the area of digitization.

“It is necessary to take care of the protection of personal data, and in particular we need to see the potential and possibilities of IPA and EU funds for the implementation of projects in the field of digitization”, said CCI representatives.

The workshop was attended by Deputy Coordinator for Public Administration Reform Miloš Golijanin, Coordinator for Public Administration Reform of the Brčko District of BiH Davor Šolaja, Head of the EU4PAR Project Team Edmond Miletić, President of the Independent Union of Civil Servants and Employees in the Bodies of the Federation of BiH Samir Kurtović, President of the Independent Union of Civil Servants and employee Radenko Mirković, as well as representatives of the Center for Investigative Journalism.
