On May 12, 2022, PARCO is organizing a round table on normative and practical aspects of the law on administrative procedure in BiH in cooperation with SIGMA / OECD in Sarajevo (Holiday Hotel).
The roundtable will discuss two interrelated topics: open issues related to the implementation of administrative procedures in Bosnia and Herzegovina (with an emphasis on administrative simplification) as well as monitoring the functioning of administrative procedures (in order to identify and overcome potential challenges). A recent analysis of BiH’s law on administrative procedures by SIGMA found that, although administrative simplification methods such as the “one-time” principle, as well as electronic communication, are built into LAPs at almost all levels in BiH, the actual implementation of these concepts is slow.
The event is open to photojournalists and cameramen, and statements to journalists will be given by prof.dr. Ferid Otajagić, deputy Coordinator for Public Administration Reform at 10:45 a.m.
In addition to the representatives of SIGMA, the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Justice of BiH, the Ministry of Administration and Local Self-Government of the Republika Srpska, the Ministry of Justice of the Federation of BiH, the Ministry of Justice and Administration of Sarajevo Canton, the Appellate Commission of Brcko District of BiH, Administrative Inspections of BiH, Administrative Inspections of the Republika Srpska, Administrative Inspections of the Brčko District of BiH, the Appeals Council of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Board of Appeals of the Republika Srpska, the business entities and civil society organizations is expected.
