The online course “Cyber hygiene” was developed as part of the Geneva Center project for Security Sector Management “Good governance of cyber security in the Western Balkans”, with the support of the Office for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development of the United Kingdom.
The course is intended for civil servants of all levels and profiles who in their work have contact with official data and information of various kinds, and in the performance of official duties use computers and other IT equipment.
The course begins with the basics of cyber hygiene and with why it is important. Further, the course explains what a hacker is and what types of hacking mechanisms they use to attack individuals and organizations. Finally, the course concludes the best ways to avoid cyber-attacks with an overview and how to stay safe online. Each module is followed by a knowledge test and a final knowledge test/quiz after the last module.
Through the course, participants will get to know the basic tools for cyber hygiene, the techniques of hacker attacks and cyber threats, and they will be presented with useful information about the risks they are exposed to.
