The Deputy State Coordinator informed Kurtović about the activities on the implementation of the Strategic Framework for Public Administration Reform 2018-2022 and the Action Plan for the Implementation of Public Administration Reform – a document that will soon be sent to the BiH Council of Ministers and entity and Brčko District governments for adoption.

“This is an open process in which the media, civil society and unions of civil servants and employees should be involved,” said Otajagić, adding that trade unions in BiH and their membership should be informed about further modernization of the administration in BiH, but also included in the implementation of future reform activities, especially due to the fact that larger interventions in the field of civil service are planned.

Kurtović emphasized that Union was not previously involved in the process of public administration reform, ie in the preparation of strategic documents, but that through the following activities it will contribute to the modernization of the administration in BiH.

“We will put the wind in the back of public administration reform,” Kurtović said.

He emphasized that the Independent Union of Civil Servants and State Employees in Civil Service Bodies, Judiciary and Public Institutions in the Federation of BiH has 14,000 members, and that he believes that the membership will be informed about public administration reform through trainings, seminars and conferences.

The participants agreed that it would be necessary to organize another similar meeting on public administration reform, to which Božo Marić, President of the RS Administration Union, and Lejla Čopelj, President of the Independent Union of Civil Servants and Employees in BiH Institutions, would be invited.
