At the session of the Supervisory team for the area Public Finances, held on December 4, 2013 in Sarajevo, the Terms of Reference for project “Public Private Partnership” has been unanimously adopted.
Objective of this project is the establishment of functional public-private partnership systems at all government levels in BiH, in accordance to the European legislation, European standards and the best European practices. The objective of project is to implement it at the level of the Institutions of BiH, the Federation of BiH (FBiH), the Republic of Srpska (RS) and the Brčko District (BD).
The purpose of project is:
• Development of legislation in the area of public-private partnership and harmonization of the existing legislation related to the area of PPP in BiH;
• Training and capacity building of relevant institutions for implementation of PPP and preparation and eventual implementation in a measure in which it is possible of two or more pilot PPP projects (training at work);
• Training of private sector on possibilities for business in a framework of the PPP concept and creating adequate business environment for business parties in a framework of the PPP concept;
• Education of broader public on advantages offered through the efficient PPP.
