"Bosnia and Herzegovina begs for the politicians, who understand that Europe is here, in this country, and that BiH must as soon as possible become a part of the European Union", has been said in an exclusive interview for the portal reci.ba by the Ambassador of Czech Republic in BiH, Jirzi Kudela, whose country currently presides by the European Union.

The Ambassador has explained that BiH still does not have the visionary, who would include Europe in his/her political portfolio, not only verbally, but by concrete actions as well. He has expressed dissatisfaction over the fact that "each effort of an agreement immediately gets criticized, destroyed and underestimated. It is charming to disobey in every day life, which is good for neighbor, but not for politics."

The Ambassador has announced that Bosnia and Herzegovina and a whole region will be a key topic of the informal meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of the European Union at the end of March in Budejovice in Czech Republic. "There will be a very serious discussion between the European Union and representatives of this region around all important issues and Czech Republic is ready to organize the new meetings or appointments as well, if needed."

Asked if Bosnia and Herzegovina could be omitted from the package of measures, which the EU prepares for West Balkans, including the abolishment of visas, Kudela has stated the efforts of Czech Presidency to include BiH in the whole package, but that it firstly depends on progress of country in different areas, as are security of personal documents and other conditions from the so-called "Map of path" of the European Union.

The Ambassador Kudela has also pointed out a very important role of media in stabilization and "Europezation" of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has especially pointed out the responsibility of journalists at public emitters, who must be ready "for all challenges which are being brought by a modern journalism and objective reporting".

When speaking of nominating the new high representative and a special representative of the European Union in BiH, Kudela expects that the process of nomination could be finished by the end of March. He has reminded that the Management board of the Peace Implementation Council has not yet concluded that all the conditions for transition of the OHR into the EUSR have been fulfilled, so the future special representative of the EU will again be in a function of the high representative.
