Dnevni avaz: Associated Union of Civil Servants expressed their strongest protest in relation with adoption of decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH on directing of the Draft Law on Salaries in the Institutions of BiH in the parliamentary procedure. This draft law was prepared by the inter departmental group of the Council of Ministers, and it does not have incorporated proposals of the union.
More just law
Dissatisfaction by this draft unified the representatives of the Independent Union of Civil Servants and employees of the Indirect Taxation Authority, the Union of the Border Police, the Independent Organisation of the ISA and the Independent Union of Civil Servants, Police Officers and Employees of the Institutions of BiH, judicial authority and public institutions of BiH, who insist on changes of the Law.
"We ask for more just law, increase of quotients for calculation of salaries starting from the employees of the lowest until the highest institutions in BiH, especially for the police officers who are damaged by this law" said Ahmet Turčinović, the president of the Union of the Border Police of BiH.
Today, he added, the salary of the border police officer amounts to around 750 KM with all the provisions without the hot meal provision and transportation provision.
That will be the case with the new law as well. The Council of Ministers wants it to appear that the salaries of the police officers were increased, and that is not correct. This law gave us something on which we had a right to for seven years, and it has never been paid – work by night and on holidays, while our quotients remained the same, said Turčinović.
Claims of the Ministry of Finances of BiH that the “incomes of a police officer without work experience will be 1.150 KM“, Turčinović called “stories for small children”. He stressed that he insists only on the increase of the quotients and that it should be for calculation of salary instead of proposed 1.29, 1.6.
"If the Parliament does not respect that, we are prepared to organise the white strike" said Turčinović.
