Dnevni avaz: Bosnia and Herzegovina annually looses one building, such as the one of the former Executive Council in the centre of Sarajevo, today the Building of Friendship between Greece and BiH, because from the treasury as much as 20 million KM is spent for paying rents for the facilities where state institutions are accommodated. At the same time, that very same building, since the beginning of the last year, when it was opened is empty.

Commission of the Council of Ministers, which had a task of proposing distribution of rooms in this building, ended its job in January. But, the Chairman of the Council, Nikola Špirić since then did not put that matter on the agenda.

In the building would stay the offices of the chairperson of the Council of Ministers and their deputies, and the Ministry of Foreign Trade. That division plan does not satisfy either the Parliament or the Council of Ministers. The management of the Parliament expects that complete state government leaves their building and in that way vacates the facilities for the needs of the parliamentarians and parliamentarian services. They are ready to leave the offices only of Špirić and his deputies.

Unfortunately, none of these combinations will significantly contribute to decrease of the amount of money spent for the rents paid by the numerous state institutions, claims deputy minister of finances and treasury of BiH, Fuad Kasumović.

Moving into the restored building, according to the proposed plan, will not decrease the rent even by ten per cent, because exactly those ministries, for which the room is being made in the restored building, are already accommodated in the facilities owned by the state – said Kasumović.
