Nezavisne novine: BANJALUKA – Milorad Dodik, prime minister of the RS, supported the projects the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is ready to propose in the RS, and which are concerned with environment protection, mitigation of the negative consequences of climatic changes and other areas important for development of BiH.

Dodik talked yesterday in Banja Luka with the UN coordinator and resident representative of the UNDP Christine McNab on participation of the RS in the UNDP projects. McNab, in the talk with Jasna Brkić, prime minister of the RS and minister for economic relations and coordination of the RS, estimated that for successfulness of the work of the UN and its institutions and agencies in BiH, great merit belongs to the RS, considering the fact that many development programmes, such as the one for Srebrenica, are implemented in the RS.

“After the conditions for return have been made, attention of the UNDP is directed to economic and enterprise development of the Srebrenica region. Currently, intensive work is on attraction of new enterprises and firms which would open factories, employ and work in Srebrenica”, said Brkić.

McNab yesterday also met Omer Branković, minister for refugees and displaced persons of the RS, and talked on joint projects of restoration. As released from this ministry, it is about projects of restoration of housing fund and infrastructure in Srebrenica, Bratunac and Milići, project  SUTRA II and SUTRA PLOD.
