The second workshop on the development of a Digital Governance Roadmap for Bosnia and Herzegovina is being held in Sarajevo today and tomorrow, and is being organized Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SIGMA.
Taking into account the goals and activities of the Strategic Framework for Public Administration Reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina, its Action Plan, as well as the European Union recommendation on improving user-friendly administration, the goal of this workshop is to establish a common understanding of the current state of digital governance in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to create a clear and synchronized roadmap, realistic for implementation.
The Digital Governance Roadmap for BiH focuses on four key objectives:
Establishing the legal, institutional and coordination foundations for the digital governance model in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Connecting priority registries and institutions through interoperable and secure data exchange between different administrative levels, in order to move towards the “once only” principle;
Enabling reliable digital transactions through modernized electronic identification (eID) and trust services at each administrative level and between administrative levels, as well as
Improving the availability, quality and usability of services through service catalogues, integrated service portals and more consistent service design and delivery practices across all administrative levels.
The roadmap should cover the fundamental drivers and priorities that should guide the digital transformation in the next 2-3 years, ensuring feasibility and coherence among institutions of all four administrative levels, i.e. coordinated execution and measurable progress.
The workshop participants are representatives of the supervisory teams in the reform area of Service Delivery, as well as representatives of the GIZ/SEDEP project, the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the DIGI BiH project. On behalf of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office of BiH, the workshop is attended by the Coordinator for Public Administration Reform of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Darko Kasap, the Head of the Operational Unit, Mr. Nedžib Delić, the Expert Advisor for Sector Reforms, Mr. Kenan Avdagić and the Expert Advisor for Information Technology and Service Delivery, Ms. Mubera Begić.
