The Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office of BiH and SIGMA organized a workshop on the development of the Roadmap for Digital Administration for Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 3 and 4, 2026 in Sarajevo.
The workshop brought together representatives of key institutions accountable for the implementation of the PAR Action Plan in the area of digitalization of public administration services, all with the aim of building a common understanding of where Bosnia and Herzegovina is today on its path of digital transformation and, more importantly, where it wants to go further.
Building on the PAR Strategic Framework in BiH 2018-2022 (2027), its Action Plan and ongoing initiatives, the workshop focused on jointly creating a clear, realistic and sequential plan in the field of digitalization for the next 2-3 years.
Through expert contributions and structured discussions, participants jointly identified strategic objectives, fundamental digital drivers and priorities to encourage the implementation of reform measures.
Discussions have focused on governance mechanisms, data and registries, interoperability, transformation of basic public services and the importance of practical sequencing and institutional alignment, all with the aim of feasibility, coordination and measurable progress.
The workshop participants were representatives of institutions responsible for the digitalization of public administration services at the level of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Federation of BiH, the Republika Srpska, the Brčko District of BiH, the Sarajevo Canton, the DIGI BiH project, GIZ, SIGMA, and the Delegation of the European Union to BiH.
In order to finalize and plan the implementation of the Roadmap, an additional workshop will be held in the second half of May 2026.
