The Directive on electric equipment, intended for the use inside the certain voltage limits, will be applied from December 29, 2011. In the area of technical regulations, preparations for the BiH accession to the EU are systematically being manifested in the form of directions, by which the BiH legislation is being transformed into the EU legislation. This is a comprehensive process, which has begun a few years ago and which will cause some significant changes of legislative frame for a list of industrial branches.
At the conference "New technical legislation – revolution for free trade and safe products", which has been held yesterday in Sarajevo, it has been talked about the assistance to BiH institutions and economy in adopting and applying technical regulations of the EU.
Safe products
"Goal of the project "Quality Infrastructure" is to support the process of overtaking legislation and establishing different systems, institutions and structures that must exist before different regulations inure. All technical products, which have been produced, or imported into our country, that are being traded, must be safe", has been said by the Deputy Minister of External Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Dragan Milović. According to him, several years would be needed until all regulations become harmonized and until all civil infrastructures and citizens start applying a new approach and ensure that the BiH products become recognized easily by us, as well as around the world. "Certifying products and putting CE marks is only one of the steps in this process. In order to place the CE mark on product, it is necessary to establish the authority for evaluating harmonization of products with technical regulations, which are valid, or will be valid in BiH", has been pointed out by Milović, reports Oslobođenje.
