Since the beginning of this year till the end of July the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH has collected to the Unified account 2.888 billion KM, which is by 13% less than in the same period of last year, Srna has been informed by spokesperson of the ITA BiH, Ratko Kovačević.
As a main reason of reducing the revenues from the indirect taxes, he has mentioned the abolishment of customs on majority of products from the EU, which is one of the conditions of the Stabilization and Association Agreement. Kovačević has said that the second reason is the world economic crisis, which has influenced the reduction of import in BiH, and which implies smaller basis for collecting the taxes of import. He has pointed out that from the gross of collected revenues, in the amount of 2.888 billion KM, there has been achieved a return of the VAT to the tax payers, who have achieved a right on it in the amount of 440 million KM.
Kovačević has added that there has also been announced a division of revenues from the Unified account, therefore for financing the institutions of BiH 421 million KM has been allocated, 650 million KM for the RS, 1.3 billion KM for the FBiH and 72 million KM for the Brčko District of BiH.
