Nezavisne novine: The European Union will assist BiH to receive almost 290 million Euros for assistance to economy and infrastructural projects, in order to overcome the consequences of economic crisis, has been said yesterday by Dimitris Kourkoulas, head of the European Commission Delegation in BiH.
"The EU has ensured 39 million Euros of non-returnable assistance for BiH, and this will be implemented through the IPA funds. These funds will be operational over the European Bank for Renovation and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank and the German Bank for Renovation, with which we will try to agree on ensuring additional 250 million Euros of credit for assistance to economy and big infrastructural projects", Kourkoulas has said.
The head of the European Commission Delegation in BiH, the Special Representative of the EU for BiH, Valentin Inzko and representatives of state and entity governments of BiH, in the frame of the first meeting of the European Integrations Coordination Team, have talked about de-blockade of implementing the set conditions.
"It is necessary for the issues related to the process of European Integrations to avoid politization. They should not be a subject of daily-political deliberations, but should solve those on a technical level. That way we will quicken the whole process, because it is known that these issues today usually create a total political hysteria", Inzko has said.
The EU representatives have asked domestic governments to solve the problem of nominating the director of the Directorate for European Integrations of BiH, the Independent Board and the Board for Complaints of citizens in police structure of BiH, and to quicken drafting and adopting the set of laws and strategies related to the combat against corruption.
"We will try with political leaders to find a mechanism for nominating, in order to avoid blockades. We must make agreements because the chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH can demand, but not withdraw his moves. I believe that the agreement is possible", has been said by Nikola Špirić, chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
The EU representatives and BiH will hold monthly meetings at which they will talk about the progress in the process of European integrations. At yesterday’s meeting the progress in implementation of conditions for liberalization of visa regime has been greeted.
