The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH has in the second reading adopted the Proposal amendment I to the Constitution of BiH, which relates to the status of the Brčko District, reports Fena.
14 delegates have voted for the amendment, there was nobody against it, and only one reserved – Slobodan Šaraba. He was reserved because the delegates have not supported his amendment, which was the only amendment stated at today's session. By his amendment, he wanted to correct a part of text of the Amendment I to the Constitution in which one or more entities have been mentioned, into one or both entities.
The amendment, by which the Brčko District is being returned to the constitutionally-legal arrangement of BiH, has yesterday been adopted in the same text by the House of Representatives. The only change in relation to the text which has been sent to parliamentary procedure by the Council of Ministers of BiH, is a technical correction, which has earlier been adopted by the constitutionally-legal commission of both Houses, and by which it has been stipulated that the constitutional amendment will inure on the eighth day from the day of publishing it in the Official Gazette of BiH.
Delegates should profess themselves on principles of the Proposal law on control of moving of weapons and military equipment and the Proposal law on changes and amendments to the Law on citizenship.
