Nezavisne novine: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has yesterday sent the instruction to the Mission of BiH in the United Nations to close the website of the BiH Mission, which is on the official website of the UN.
This has been confirmed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH (MFA) after it has been concluded that there are significant lacks on a website created by the American-Bosnian Foundation for Culture (ABFC).
BiH divided into five regions
On the website of the BiH Mission in the UN (www.bhmisijaun.org) there is a link for the BiH tourism, where on the map BiH is divided into five regions. In the Touristic society of the FBiH, which has initiated this site by the assistance of the European Commission, they have said that the regions have been divided according to economic principle by the EURED (European Real Estate Directory) division. In the Intelligence service of the Touristic society of the FBiH they have said that such regional division was a condition of the European Commission, which has financed 76% of expenditures of this project, initiated in 2003.
In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs it has been confirmed that the BiH Mission in the UN was never given the approval for launching this website, but it has been opened five days ago, on which the ABFC has informed the public in its announcement.
Pianist Saša Toperić, chairman of the ABFC, is also the adviser in the BiH Mission in the UN, who has been engaged by a contract by Sven Alkalaj, minister of foreign affairs of BiH.
Ivan Barbalić, the Ambassador of BiH in the UN, has recently notified the Presidency and the Council of Ministers of BiH that he is against the Toperić's engagement, because he has asked to be an engaged adviser for international law.
In what way will BiH continue leading the campaign for the admission in the non-permanent membership of the Council of Security of the UN, we were not able to find out yesterday from Miloš Prica, chief of the Coordination team for leading of campaign. We have been told in the MFA that Prica has gone to New York in the BiH Mission.
One more member of this team, Nerkez Arifhodžić, the adviser of member of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić, has gone to New York, for whose 40-day residence the MFA has allocated around 14.500 KM.
Even though Alkalaj has asked for around 600.000 KM for support of this campaign, the Ministry of Finance and Treasury has said to them that this is being financed from the internal reserves by saving on some other lots.
After this suggestion, from the MFA has sonly arrived a new request for 450.000 KM. From the Ministry of Finance and Treasury has again been confirmed yesterday that they have given a negative opinion. They have reminded the MFA that it has its own reserves for hiring of 35 servants, which can be used in case of increasing the number of people in the BiH Mission in the UN.
Yesterday, we were not able to receive a comment from the Cabinet of the chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Nebojša Radmanović.
