Dnevni avaz: There is no Bosnia and Herzegovina among the key challenges of the European Union in this year at all, according to the estimations of distinctive CLAN Institute from Brussels.
The analytics of this institute have created an extensive and studious document on priorities which wait on the Union in 2009., among which are the Lisbon agreement, financial crisis, elections for the Parliament of the EU and, of course, continuation of the EU enlargement. But, significant is the fact that in the part which speaks of the EU enlargement, BiH is not even mentioned.
The institute grades that the Union will this year continue with negotiations with Croatia and Turkey, opening the negotiations with Macedonia and requirements for accession of Albania, Serbia and Montenegro, which has already submitted the application.
Even though the representatives of the Council of Ministers of BiH already publically announces the submission of the request for membership in the EU in the first half of this year, this institute obviously does not consider it a serious challenge for Brussels. Much more attention, as they expect, the Union will have to dedicate to Serbia and Albania, which will, as it has been stated, probably submit the request very soon.
