Nezavisne novine: The payment of December's salaries for around 20.000 employed in the Institutions of BiH will not be stopped, even though there are announcements of the Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH that he will not sign the dictates for payment because of discrimination of the officials who have a residence in the FBiH.
"There is no word about an abolition of salary payment to the employed in the Institutions of BiH. I have authorized the Deputy Minister to sign the dictates for payments, but if he really stops the salary payment, then I can change my decision by which I have authorized him. We are aware of the problems of different approach to taxation of salaries, but this is not a way of solving it", Vrankić has said.
The salaries of employed in the state institutions are regulated by the state law. By the entity laws regulated are their rights and obligations as are the payments of contributions for pension and health insurance, parturient absence and the income tax.
"I have noticed that there is a discrimination done by the Law on Tax Income, so to the employed who have residence on the region of the Federation of BiH the income tax is being calculated to the burden of their net salary, while to the employed with the residence in the Republic of Srpska the income tax is being paid to the burden of the employer", has been stated in the letter of the Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Fuad Kasumović sent to the chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Nikola Špirić and his deputies Vrankić and Tarik Sadović.
