Nezavisne novine: SARAJEVO – BiH is late in establishing an effective system of coordination and exchange of data between police agencies in country, which is one of the requirements for liberalization of visa regime for citizens of BiH.
This has been confirmed by Samir Rizvo, chief of negotiating team for liberalization of visa regime. “The European Commission expects us to establish the effective system of coordination of work and exchange of data among all police agencies in BiH. The agreement has not yet been reached, even if this is one of the requirements. This is a political question which can not be solved by us in the expert team”, says Rizvo.
The European Commission will by September 1st this year receive a report on readiness of BiH for visa abolishment. In this report will be analyzed the situation in all areas which are covered by instructions for visa abolishment. It will conclude that we are late with the establishment of system for coordination among police agencies.
“Report in which will be described the situation in all stated questions, we will surely deliver on time. The European Commission will in mid November deliver a contract to us. This contract will precisely list all the things we need to do in each area. Then we will be able to precise the deadline for fulfilling all obligations’, Rizvo said.
In May this year, the European Commission has approved the beginning of negotiations on visa abolishment for citizens of BiH. In June this year domestic governments received the guidelines for visa abolishment. These guidelines contain issuing biometric passports, control of migration, borders, and fight against organized crime.
