Nezavisne novine: SARAJEVO – Ad hoc commission of the BH Parliament established a list of candidates for ombudsman. This was confirmed by the Commission member, Dušanka Majkić.
“In interviewing of candidates, active participation was taken by the representatives of the OHR and of the OSCE as well”, she said, adding that by the beginning of July BiH could have new ombudsmen. The list will be submitted to both Houses of the Parliament, which could elect the candidates also by secret vote.
Of Bosniaks, the best graded is Jasminka Džumhur, preceding Amira Krehić, Esad Muhibić, Enes Hašić, Zijad Hasić, Emina Halilović, Zinka Halilović, Halili Lagumdžija and Muhidin Hajdarević.
Branka Raguz is the first in the list of Croatian candidates, preceding Ivo Bradvica, Željka Klobučar, Miriofil Ljubić, Vesna Tančica and Ilija Ćorić. The best candidate of Serbs is Rada Kafedžić, and then Ljubomir Sandić, Biljana Simeunović, Vitomir Popović, Branko Morait, Branka Inić, Branka Kolar- Mijatović and Drago Višnjić. The best graded candidate is Vera Jovanović, who applied as a candidate of others. Majkić explains that the law allows the "others" to apply to the vacancy, but they can be appointed only if somebody of the elected from the three constituent nations quits.
