Dnevni avaz: Head of the Administration of the Crime Police of the RS, Gojko Vasić, said yesterday that the arrest of the suspects for issuing the false documents in Banja Luka and Bijeljina is a continuation of the operation from 2004.
Back then the Ministry of Interior of the RS discovered 200 false documents, and it was about persons involved in business frauds or they fell in selling and trade of narcotics, while the last year five printing presses were discovered in which false documents were being made.
Vasić added that the subject of investigation will also be the employees who issue the documents and the workers in local offices, as well as that the investigation will cover audit of 15.000 issued personal ID cards.
We are aware that there are a lot of persons who are registered as missing in the last war, and in their names documents were issued. Those investigations are still not over, and those documents can be used for avoidance of criminal responsibility, fleeing from country or business fraud – said Vasić.
According to him, there were cases of issuing false certificates of citizenship and usage of false stamps.
Part of the criminal chain were also people who work in the state bodies and who misused the official position. However, procedures of making of documents were improved and they are hard to be forged – Vasić pointed out.
