Nezavisne novine: BANJALUKA – The agreement on social insurance between BiH and Slovenia will come into force on July 1st, 2008. This was released yesterday from the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.

“This news will make especially happy 25.000 citizens of BiH who spent their work life in Slovenia”, the release stated.

By implementation of this Agreement, citizens will be able to exercise rights stemming from the health insurance, injuries at work or professional illnesses, remunerations in the period of maternity leave, parental remunerations, old age, invalidity and death, unemployment and child provision.

“This Agreement is related to around 25.000 citizens of our country, and most of them are from the Una-Sana canton. After several years of negotiations and lobbying, BH citizens will finally be able to use what they provided their assets during their work for. Enactment of this international document is a proof that by persistence and insistence of citizens they can be provided with what is theirs”, said Senad Šepić, deputy minister of civil affairs and one of the initiators of finalization of this question.
