Dnevni avaz: Draft law which should solve the question of state property should be in front of the state ministers by the end of this month. This was confirmed yesterday in his statement for the “Dnevni avaz” by Zvonimir Kutleša, chairman of the Commission for state property.

At the yesterday’s session, majority of members of the Commission adopted the compromise proposal of the draft law, according to which the Council of Ministers will finally decide which property is needed to the state for functioning of its institutions, while all the rest will be given to the entities and to the District of Brčko. This principle is not applied to the BiH property outside our borders, whose owner will be entirely the state of BiH.

There are minor disagreements related with establishment of the office for state property. Commission members from the RS consider unnecessary to form new institutions, but that care of the state property in the future should be taken by the Ministry of Finances and Treasury. They also opened the question of registration of property, i.e. whether that basis could be the decision of the Council of Ministers, suggesting solving that by closing an agreement between entities and the District, from one side and the state, from the other.
