Paper ''banished'' from desks
BANJALUKA – Paper materials, as the only official form of communication between the ministers, since yesterday are banished from the Government of the RS Session Hall, after which, as the first in the country, the Government introduced the e-government system.
Since yesterday, all the materials for sessions, which consumed hundreds and hundreds of thousands of pages annually, are available to the ministers one click away on a laptop installed at their seat in the hall, which is a practice applied for some time now by their colleagues in Croatia and Slovenia.
This system is a part of new, modernised work strategy of the Government, who will from now on hold all the sessions without a single sheet of paper.
The first work day in a new system, as said by Krsto Grujić, the head of the Government IT team, went completely satisfactory.
Since yesterday, all the materials for sessions, which consumed hundreds and hundreds of thousands of pages annually, are available to the ministers one click away on a laptop.
''All the ministers and the Prime Minister had no problems with using the new equipment, since all of them passed the necessary education'', said Grujić.
Some members of the Government said that most of the Ministers found their way in working with the new equipment, although, as they say, there were some sloppy ones, who will need some time to study the new technologies.
Jasna Brkić, the vice-Prime Minister, said that all of her colleagues are happy with the new way of work.
''It is good, although it was the first day, that there were no problems, and it is for certain that every new session will bring even faster and more efficient work'', she said.
New technologies bring new advantages – since yesterday, all the ministers have a possibility of attending the sessions from a distance, without their physical presence.
According to Grujić, e-Government aims to achieve faster and more efficient work, which should be accompanied by a decrease in expenditures, considering that there is no more need for copying the hundreds of thousands of pages of written materials.
As a part of the new system, the Government will launch today also the new, modern web portal.
