Corruption is a serious development challenge. Not only that it hampers democracy, rules of laws and legitimacy of government, it also reduces the trust of citizens in their institutions. Also, it leads to an uneven provision of services and hardens the economic development. The fight against corruption is of a big importance for BiH to fulfill the requirements for the EU accession.
In order to foster understanding of the phenomena of corruption and define the possible anti-corruption tools and policies, the European Commission together with the Ministry of Security, organizes the workshop "Anti-corruption-programming in a pre-accession context" in the Greek-Bosnian Friendship Building, on February 26th,2009.
