The Project Technical Support to the civil society organizations (TACS) announced the call for applications to civil society organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina for training "Citizen participation in decision-making processes" that will take place in Srebrenica from October 26-27, 2010.
The specific training objectives are: improving of participant’s understanding and knowledge about citizen’s participation in the decision-making process. The training will be focused on providing skills, knowledge and tools for participants so they would be able to stronger influence on public policies.
During the training, participants will be familiarized with:
- Citizen’s participation in the decision-making process – levels of participation,participation purposes, various methods, techniques, tools and approaches.
- Experience in the citizen’s participation citizens in the decision-making process
- Challenges that organizations are facing with in participation of citizens in the decision-making process at the local level and reviewing the possibilities of resolving them.
Training content is consisted of two day modules. The training methodology will be theory and practice which will be applied through mini lectures, group works, case study, sharing experiences in order to achieve lined measurable goals and training results as well.
Target groups are civil society organizatiosn representatives, including trade unions, mass movements, professional associations, cultural and religious groups as well as groups from local communities. More information about training can be found here.
