The project of the European Union called "Providing support to development of trading policy and strengthening of capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina" (EU TPP), in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH organizes the conference on the topic "External-Trading policy in BiH – encountering the entrance into the EU and the world's trading system".

Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently a member of the CEFTA; the Stabilization and Association Agreement has been signed with the EU, the Interim agreement has inured, and negotiations on associating with the World Trade Organization are entering their final phase. With the respect to such development of situation, it is needed to initiate the appropriate reforms of policy in the field of the foreign trade, in order to create the conditions for the BiH economy to achieve the biggest possible benefit from processes of the European Integrations, and to expand its export activities on the markets of the CEFTA and the countries members of the EU.

During this conference, which will be held on December 17th this year in the amphitheater of the building UNITIC in Sarajevo, the results achieved by the EU TPP will be presented. The current status of the CEFTA and implementation of the Interim agreement, and the progress in the process of accessing the World Trade Organization, will be emphasized.

During its existence, the EU has been providing support to the BiH Institutions, especially to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, and this support consisted of preparation of draft and implementation of comprising policy of the foreign trade, and harmonizing of the BiH Legislation with the rules of the World Trade Organization and acquis communautaire. The value of this Project during the period of 20 months is 1.457.653 EUR.
