Project Name: Program of Strengthening Central Level Public Administration
Short Description: Efficient and transparent statehood is a basic prerequisite for the legitimacy and, accordingly, for the continuity of B&H. The benefit of this can in the end be proven only by using the capacity of the transparency and customer orientation of the public institutions beyond political considerations. Hence, the overall aim of the project is: The selected public institutions offer improved services corresponding to the needs of whole territory of the state. The project will be initially concentrated on the following four public institutions: (1) Agency for Statistics, (2) Central Bank, (3) Public Procurement Agency and (4) Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance. Other relevant institutions can also be included in the course of project implementation. The promotional components are: core processes consulting by the international and national experts within the above mentioned four institutions, further training and provision of material resources to a limited extent. Furthermore, the responsible political body – PARCO (Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office) will be advised on strategic governance and monitoring reform measures.
