Strengthening political support for the public administration reform process in Bosnia and Herzegovina was the topic of a recent meeting between EU representatives, SIGMA office and the coordinator for public administration reform in BiH.
“The goal of this meeting was to consider key measures from the Strategic Framework and Action Plan for Public Administration Reform, in order to develop a Roadmap for strengthening political support and ownership of the public administration reform process in BiH,” said Davor Šolaja, coordinator for public administration reform in the Brčko District of BiH, Radio Brčko reports.
As a result of the joint meeting in Brčko, a document was prepared summarizing the results of the discussion and proposing next steps, including meetings with key decision-makers and promotional activities to strengthen engagement in the public administration reform process.
He emphasizes that the revised Action Plan and its adoption will improve the process, which should soon be visible, in order to ultimately improve and facilitate access to public administration for the citizens of the District.
Šolaja says that in addition to this meeting, a workshop was also held on the topic “Electronic inventory tool for administration bodies”, which aimed to provide public administration authorities with a better electronic inventory, which is of vital importance for improving management and transparency in public administration.
It concludes that the primary objectives of the E-inventory tool are to improve the efficiency and transparency of public administration by providing a single platform for accessing and managing critical organizational data. It should also enable better decision-making and improve inter-agency coordination, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
