Semiha Borovac, Public Administration Reform Coordinator in BiH, has received the European of 2011 Award, which is being assigned by the European Movement in BiH, for contributions in the process of the EU integration and improving the image of Bosnia and Herzegovina in international relations.
The award has been given to Mrs. Borovac by Mrs. Nevenka Savić, director of the Directorate for European Integration, the last year's receiver of this Award, at the ceremony called ''Five to twelve – it's time for Europe'', held yesterday on Jahorina, organized by the European Movement in BiH.
"BiH has a really huge number of women that deserve this recognition, and those are the women whose hearts have been filled by tolerance, coexistence and love among each other. Women surely initiate a lot of it in BiH, especially when speaking of the European values. That is why this recognition, which comes from hands of Nevenka Savić, and whose position I have accidentally taken over, will surely mean a further motivation in my work on such significant and key process in BiH, as the public administration reform in BiH is”, Borovac has pointed out. She has added that the public administration reform should introduce the European standards and values in our country, in order for BiH to come closer to the EU. "BiH citizens deserve it”, she has said.
The Public Administration Reform Coordinator in BiH has also thanked the European Movement in BiH, not only for the Award, but for their persistence in promotion of ideas and spirit of the European unification and creating a climate for faster attachment of country to the EU as well.
The European town of BiH in 2011 title has been given to Pale, while the Award for the European of the 2011 in male category has been given to Siniša Macan, director of the Identification Documents, Data Exchange and Evidence Agency of BiH. Recognitions have also been given to some other eminent subjects, whose work has contributed to the European values affirmation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, among whom are the SensServis, as the best European media service.
Normally, the European Movement in BiH, in cooperation with the Directorate for European Integration (DEI) and partners in a frame of the project of the European Union Delegation in BiH and the municipality of Pale, under the general sponsorship of the Presidency of BiH, has marked this way the Europe Day in BiH (May, 9).
In regards to marking the Europe Day, in the hotel ''Bistrica'', promoted has been the project of building the gondola Pale-Јahorina, which has been proclaimed by the European Movement in BiH as the European-Ecologic project of the year on this region.
The same happens each year; jubilee has been marked through several manifestations, and besides the main ceremony, held have been some other educational, cultural and sport manifestations.
The ceremony has been attended by a big number of invitees from public, as well as many media representatives.
